GENERAL
INFORMATION
A very old town and harbour in
one of the most beautiful areas
on the west coast of Istra. The
old part of the town of Poreč is
situated on a small peninsula
separated from the mainland by
an artificial canal. The
surrounding area is rich in
maritime and stone pine woods,
cypresses, aromatic herbs,
vineyards, olive-groves and
orchards. Mild climate, a
beautiful lido, rocky shores,
numerous little pebbled and
sandy beaches, holiday villages
in the Blue and Green Lagoon (Plava
and Zelena Laguna), the islet of
St. Nicholas (Sveti Nikola) with
lovely beaches...all this has
turned this old Istrian town
into one of the most popular
tourist resorts on the entire
east coast of the Adriatic sea.
