GENERAL INFORMATION
A small town (former Roman Emona)
situated on a little peninsula
enclosing from the north a bay
into which the river Mirna
flows. It has a population of 2
790 inhabitants. The surrounding
country offers fine
opportunities for swimming and
walking through rich and
fragrant Mediterranean
vegetation.

SPARE TIME
LAPIDARIUM-the Rigo Mansion of
the Urizio family. Set up in
1897 in the new loggia next to
the cathedral; in 1965 the stone
monuments were moved into the
Rigo mansion of the Urizio
family.
